ABOUT DIRECTOR AND PHOTOGRAPHER TIMOTHY HOGAN
Timothy Hogan is a tabletop director and stills photographer based in Ojai, California, recognized as one of the few specialists in tabletop cinematography and motion control in Los Angeles. Known for his bold, minimalist aesthetic and technical precision, he collaborates with top agencies and luxury brands worldwide, crafting visually striking campaigns that evoke emotional responses.
A lifelong maker, Timothy’s innate curiosity drives him to solve creative challenges with innovative, in-camera solutions. His work has been featured in prestigious publications like Communication Arts and Graphis, and he’s delivered engaging talks at events such as Photokina and IMA’s Impact Conference.
Currently, Timothy is focused on pushing the boundaries of motion control filmmaking, leveraging robotics, high-speed cameras, and special effects to create dynamic visuals for beverage, food, and luxury jewelry campaigns. His expertise in storytelling and technical artistry positions him as a rare creative resource for high-end clients.
Outside the studio, Timothy enjoys surfing, snowboarding, and woodworking. He is also passionate about design and craftsmanship, which he channels into renovating his latest Airbnb property.
